Enhancing Your Search with Google Custom Search Engine

The Google CSE Module is now available with YaleSites and can be used to incorporate your configuration from your CSE account (https://www.google.com/cse/). Sometimes, you just gotta lock it down.  I’ll review some simple ways to use the Content Access, Protected Node, and CAS modules to restrict access to your whole site, parts of your site, by role/user, or to an external-to-Yale group. Whether you want only a certain audience to see your content or you want to share a draft page on your live site with only a few folks, these tools will allow you to do just that (and more!). I will also demo a few practical examples, showing how I’ve used these modules in the past year.

Managing Events with Drupal Webforms

Using webforms in Drupal provides an efficient way to manage various aspects of event planning like tracking audience attendance and gathering guest participant information.  In this session, we will go through the steps of building a simple conference registration form, examine various form settings and configuration options, and then download a set of results from a past event webform into a user-friendly spreadsheet document.  We will also look at how webforms can be adapted for tracking and obtaining information from guest speakers.

You can search by category, filter by feature or functionality, and even compare tool fields in a table format.
